We are offering a darling early strung  Ginny 5-piece outfit from 1949 named Judy #8-2C, gently used.    This is from the Toddlers-Dainty Afternoon Dresses & School Dresses series of dressed dolls Vogue offered that year.  They also sold some of the outfits separate as boxed outfits so one could add to an existing wardrobe for their doll.    This is a wonderful early tagged dress that is a soft yellow that is a  shadow print type fabric decorated with eyelet trim on bodice and around sleeves, nicely detailed and so feminine.  The shadow print is the white on yellow and it shows fairly well in most of our photos.   Outfit has no stains, no tears and no repairs.  Still retains nice body to the fabric.   Her matching panties have good elastic in waist and legs, legs may be ever so slight loose from use.   This outfit will come to you with a nice pair of Vogue oil cloth early tie white shoes with yellow ribbons.  When we received this it didn't have any shoes so we had a pair to include.  Shoes are white and look nice with the outfit, excellent overall.      To complete the outfit Vogue chose a wide large brim scalloped hat which is original and correct for this outfit and hard to find, especially in this condition, factory decorated with two fuzzy old flowers with a small green leaf and yellow ribbon that comes thru the hat and would tie  around her chin; all original.  Hat has no breaks, no repairs and still retains the original issued color; not discolored.  We have also seen the same style hat with this outfit only made out of a different type of hat material.  This is such a pretty outfit and would look great on most dolls.  Most likely gently used on a doll at some point perhaps but not for very long and then just stored away for many years in the clothing box.
We have taken several photos to show you how it looks but also put it on our Ginny model (
doll not included in auction, outfit only
) just to give you some idea as how it fits and may look on your doll.  We didn't want to put the shoes on as they are not torn at the holes and then chance tie them and then try to get them off without damaging but they do look nice with this outfit and hard to find in their condition.   Please consider this outfit previously owned and used but in extremely nice condition and ready to put on a special doll.
