Vintage Vogue RARE Christy, Factory-Dressed, PE Pre Ginny

I’ve had, and cherished, this little rare beauty for a while.
This factory-dressed Christy is part of the Toddler Party Dresses Series of 1949. First this little pre-Ginny is a beautiful example of the first hard plastic painted eye dolls that eventually gave way to the sleep eyed version that became known as GINNY. She has a wonderful hard plastic body, untouched, and still full, original mohair blonde flip wig with bangs, and sweet facial coloring. Her brows and lashes are hand painted, as are her blue side-glancing eyes. She does not appear to have been played with much at all. She is damage-free and very, very clean.
Her Christy outfit is quite good. This dress came in pink or blue. This one is pink with a white nylon over skirt flocked with silver. A few of the silver flocks are missing on the front, but very few. There are no other issues to her outfit. The skirt is trimmed with silver braid. The dress’s skirt is attached to an empire waist and the dress is adorned with silver trimmed butterfly sleeves. Under the dress are matching pink bloomers (a bit stretched out in the waist), of the same fabric as the underskirt. The external folded wavy tag is still attached to the back of the waist. On her feet are excellent silver leatherette greek key center snap shoes and vintage pink socks. Shoes have very strong straps and snaps. On her head is the original STAPLED headband with roses on each end. One staple is hanging on by a hair, the other is firmly attached.
These do not come along very often. Don’t let this girl get away!
